When Cassie’s mom asked me to do Cassie’s senior photos back in January, I was pumped! This has been an area of photography that I have dabbled in a few times, but I really wanted to dive into it. I talked my friend Krystal into helping me style this session, and sent her photos of hair and make-up that I envisioned for Cassie’s hair. It was long after the planning process started that Cassie’s bestie Sarah was going to also trust in me to do her photos…… and then the magic started coming together.
My best friend that I made in somewhere around middle school or high school is still my bestest friend some 5 years after I graduated from high school…….(did it work….. did you buy that?? hahahaha) Anyhow, we are still best friends today, we still see each other almost twice a month and we live about 2 hours from one another, we talk all the time on the phone and now we are both moms….and we are still best friends. As a matter of fact we are going to a concert this weekend together one of our favorite things to do together since the “good ol days.” So I was really super excited to be able to photograph these two beauties together. Displaying years of friendship that will most likely be the best friendship of their lives. It is something that can’t be duplicated, forced and many aren’t able to say that they have had the same best friend for 10+ years. Cassie and Sarah have been friends since pre-school, which is so awesome. Nothing compares to having a history of a friendship that has flourished or become something that is much more than a friend. Family. A best friend is kind of like your sister that you get to pick!
Anyhow, I wish both of you the best in your senior year!! I know the future holds big and wonderful things for both of you! Hopefully one of you will go to JMU and maybe babysit for me?? eh?? maybe?? lol! j/k On a serious note, I think you both are stunning, funny, kind and beautiful young woman and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for both of you.
We used a few different locations for Sarah and Cassie’s session I love the classic look and feel of these images from our first location, and a little four-legged friend got some camera time!!!
