Kyla is ONE and then SOME!!! ~ Harrisonburg Virginia Baby Photographer

This post is long overdue, Kyla turned one in March. Okay now that we have cleared the air on that….. we tried to do this epic cake smash with Kyla and well… apparently Kyla doesn’t really like cake. Well at least she didn’t want to get her hands dirty in it or “smash” it as mama had hoped! She DID however look super cute in her rainbow tu-tu and headband. There are a few shots from the cake smash below. However, since Kyla was a newborn we have been photographing her in this super cute little rainbow romper…. and I HAD to have her outside near sunset and it had to be perfect.

With the insane weather we have had since March…. things didn’t start warming up really and getting pretty until near the end of April and so we finally had the chance to snag a few shots of Kyla in her romper, near sunset, outside and it was indeed perfect. The rain held off and we were finally able to make it happen. PLUS I wanted to test out the location for my upcoming mini sessions and it is exactly what I wanted. So here is Kyla’s sneak peek of her one year photos and a little peek at the location for the upcoming mini sessions June 9-13. I will post again about that in a separate blog post. Anyhow, have a great day everyone!!

Much Love,

Here is Kyla at her cake smash session. Isn’t her outfit so cute?? I love the headband. Probably should ask her mom where she got it so I can share!

This was maybe one or two of the smiles that we managed to get out of miss thing on our first attempt. For the record….. In the 4 years that I have been photographing one year olds… they are THE most unpredictable of any age. Usually they are getting some crazy teeth in and just starting to walk. It is not unusual for them to not cooperate…. trust me I am used to it. It doesn’t bother me one bit!!! And usually I can snag a few cute shots despite their unpredictability. I only say this because I want all the mommies to know that you are NOT alone.  That’s my little PSA for today! 😉
